Typical race weather

September in Berlin

Average daytime high
20.9°C
Average overnight low
10.2°C
Average monthly precipitation
49 mm

September days average around the low twenties, while nights are much cooler. A morning start can call for a removable layer even when the afternoon is mild. Average daily highs are 20.9°C and overnight lows 10.2°C. Average precipitation totals about 49 mm over the whole month. Rain preparation is sensible, but the total does not give the chance or timing of rain during the race. What to wear

  • Racing: a technical T-shirt or singlet with shorts is a useful starting point; adjust for your comfort and the forecast.
  • Waiting at the start: bring a removable warm layer and, if rain is forecast, a rain shell or poncho.
  • After finishing: keep a dry top and an extra layer in your finish bag.
  • These are editorial clothing suggestions. Check the forecast close to race day and adapt to your own comfort.
