Ten completed marathon editions through 2025. Official timing provider gun times used where labelled; these sometimes differ by one second from rounded media reports. The 2024 winner is revised to Abel Sikowo after Geoffrey Yegon’s doping disqualification; the Asian Athletics report predates that change, corroborated by CNA’s May 2025 account. No marathon in 2020 or 2021.

Runner perspectives

Selected summaries of public runner reviews. These describe the editions and distances noted, and experiences may change.

Williams enjoyed running past Singapore landmarks and on the F1 track in 2017, but heat and humidity made the second half much harder. She appreciated the cold towel at the finish.

What to wear

  • Racing: consider a lightweight singlet or technical T-shirt with shorts, and a cap if the forecast is sunny.
  • Waiting at the start: bring a removable light layer; use a rain shell or poncho if rain is forecast.
  • After finishing: keep a dry top and an extra layer in your finish bag.
  • These are editorial clothing suggestions. Check the forecast close to race day and adapt to your own comfort.
